Cropping paper signatures
When you photograph a paper signature, shadows, skewed angles, and unused paper borders add unnecessary bytes. Crop tightly around the dark ink to maximize clarity and avoid blurry downscaling.
Application image tool
Crop a scanned or photographed signature and fit it into the exact canvas size and KB range a form asks for, in this browser tab.
Step 1
Select a scanned or photographed signature. JPG, PNG, or WebP up to 20 MB and 24 MP.

JPG, PNG, or WebP. Up to 20 MB and 24 MP.
Processed entirely in this tab. Your signature never leaves your device.
Source decoded in memory. Original pixels remain untouched.
Step 2
Drag the crop handles tightly around the signature to remove empty paper edges.
Step 3
Define the exact canvas pixels and KB range required by your application portal.
Off by default to avoid blurriness. If off, small signatures are placed at natural scale inside white margins.

How it works
Understanding how dimensions, aspect ratios, and file size targets work together.
When you photograph a paper signature, shadows, skewed angles, and unused paper borders add unnecessary bytes. Crop tightly around the dark ink to maximize clarity and avoid blurry downscaling.
Application portals often ask for exact dimensions like 500 × 200 px. FileMizo places your cropped signature proportionally in the center of a crisp white canvas without stretching, distortion, or cropping.
If a simple signature is below the portal's minimum file size, increasing quality or adding padding is dishonest. FileMizo never adds junk bytes, hidden metadata, or artificial noise that might cause automated portal rejection.

FAQ
Details about contrast adjustments, canvas margins, file size targets, and privacy.
Sign with a dark pen (black or dark blue) on unlined, clean white paper in good, even lighting without harsh shadows. Keep your camera directly parallel to the paper to prevent perspective distortion.
They allow you to clean up greyish paper shadows and increase the contrast between the ink and the background. Defaults leave your image completely unchanged. Be cautious: excessive contrast can erase faint pencil or thin pen strokes.
Stretching an image changes its aspect ratio, making handwriting look unnaturally squished or distorted, which frequently leads to portal rejections. Instead, the signature is fitted proportionally and centered with clean white margins.
Signatures are mostly plain white background with a few dark strokes. Plain white backgrounds compress extremely efficiently in JPEG format. If your signature is below the minimum KB even at high quality, widen the crop slightly or check if the portal accepts the file as-is. We do not inject filler bytes or noise.
No. FileMizo only prepares, crops, and resizes an authentic signature image that you provide. It never generates, imitates, traces, or artificially reconstructs signatures.
No. All image decoding, cropping, filter processing, and JPEG encoding happen entirely within your browser tab using native Canvas APIs. Nothing is ever uploaded or stored.
